“Partire dalla prima fila è sempre positivo ma anche se mi piacerebbe molto poter dire che questo tempo sia lo specchio del nostro passo gara, non è così. Per poter essere competitivi nei confronti di Jorge e Dani e per poter stare con loro dovremmo levare almeno sei decimi. Abbiamo provato molte cose, tornando anche alla forcella precedente, ma anche se in questo caso il feeling è migliorato, ci resta molto da fare per far curvare bene la moto e per renderla più reattiva sulle ondulazioni del tracciato, che devo dire si sono fatte molto più evidenti. Le qualifiche non riflettono il nostro passo, ho fatto il tempo con un giro “banzai”! Detto questo sono felice di partire in prima fila perché se riusciremo a trovare qualcosa nel warm-up saremo in una buona posizione per sfruttarla. Abbiamo del lavoro da fare con la squadra stasera e vedremo se riusciremo a tirare fuori qualcosa. Mi spiace per Valentino, penso che tutti e tre noi in prima fila sappiamo cosa vuol dire farsi male e dover saltare delle gare. Per lui sarà dura anche recuperare l’allenamento con questo tipo di infortunio quindi gli auguro di riprendersi presto”.
