“Le cose non sono state esattamente facili né nelle libere né in qualifica ma ricordando come era andata l’anno scorso qui, in casa della mia squadra, mi sarei buttato in terra pur di non partire indietro. Ci ho provato e per pochissimo non ho preso la prima fila. Considerando come è andato il fine settimana il quarto tempo non è male ma dobbiamo fare un altro passo nel warm-up. Il team ha fatto un buon lavoro ma dobbiamo migliorare il comportamento della moto sulle buche perché ce ne sono parecchie, in diverse parti della pista. La cosa bella è che il nostro motore spinge forte e questo domani sarà importante. Daremo il massimo per tutti i fan Ducati, non vedo l’ora di sentire il loro tifo la fuori. E’ stato un vero colpo quello che è successo a Valentino perché il pista lui è un guerriero. E’ importante per lo spettacolo e anche se ci rende sempre la vita dura abbiamo tutti un grande rispetto per lui e nessuno vorrebbe mai vedere un collega soffrire in quel modo. Mi spiace per lui e per il suoi tifosi e gli auguro di recuperare in fretta”.
